Assalamu alaikum warahmatullah, and greetings from down under.
I am pleased to invite you to participate in the 10th Islamic Countries Conference on Statistical Sciences (ICCSS-10) to be held in the new campus of The American University in
Cairo , New Cairo, Egypt during 20-23 December 2009.
The conference is organised by the Islamic Countries Society of Statistical Sciences (ISOSS). ISOSS is a professional organisation, rising above the barriers of cast, religion or regionalism its membership is open to all statisticians around the world. ISOSS was established during the First Islamic Countries Conference on Statistical Sciences (ICCSS-I) held in
Lahore ,
Pakistan on August 27-31, 1988. One of its objectives is to bring together researchers and practitioners in statistical sciences from all over the world and in particular from Islamic Countries through professional development activities/programs. So far ISOSS has organized 9 biennial conferences in various countries including
Pakistan ,
Morocco ,
Indonesia and

In the past, ISOSS conference attracted 250-300 participants from 20-30 different countries, covering all continents of the world. The ISOSS conferences really become a good mixture of statisticians from both developed and developing countries as well as professionals from academia, practitioners and various Government agencies. There has been a growing interest on ISOSS activities in the recent years, and most of the main stream professional publications in Statistics covered reports on ISOSS conferences in the past.
Participants and paper contributors from Pakistan may rout their papers etc. through iccss10@isoss.com.pk ISOSS may arrange a group travel etc.
